Designed and facilitated by the Head of Finance, Business Partners and the wider Finance team, this series of training sessions equips new Heads with the knowledge, skills and understanding to run the school’s budget efficiently and with full confidence.
Session One: An Introduction to Finance
This online session sets the broader context for school finances, introducing the Finance Team, a brief summary of the Headteacher’s responsibilities, key Trust policies, and how to access support and navigate the finance-related resources on the intranet.
Target Audience: New Headteachers and those wishing to refresh their knowledge on the session content.
Essential informationThis brand-new programme has been co-designed and developed with REACH TEACH and the ASLs.
Designed to deliver a practical programme that ensures middle leadership is as effective as – and supports senior leadership in accelerating learning for children. The programme operates with modules that cover development of leadership and the hands-on skills and knowledge necessary to drive improvement.
Mindful of school budgets and capacity, to ensure maximum engagement we recommend that the attendance counts as twilight CPD for those sessions with each session lasting 1.5 hours.
For the programme to run effectively, a maximum capacity of 30 delegates will be in place for this cohort, however additional delegates will be placed on a waiting list for subsequent programmes.
TARGET AUDIENCE: The programme is designed to work for both those who are new to middle leadership – and to also support those more experienced middle leaders in ensuring that their subject or phase are led and managed effectively.
Please note that middle leaders put forward for the programme will need a mentor in school to support their development and act as a point of liaison with REACH TEACH over progress and expectations. This investment will enable both middle leadership and senior leadership to work in tandem effectively.
