To support schools in delivering remote learning and augment the training offer from Phoenix, the IT Team will be hosting a series of drop-in sessions.

These drop-ins are an informal platform for any member of staff to have any question answered relating to the strategy and how to operate Teams for remote learning.

The afternoon drop-in session on 3rd December is for Cluster 1, 2, 3 and 9 and will be led by Nico Rehman.

These workshops aim to be practical workshops where School Business Managers and school Finance Managers can access further support, guidance and space to get the job completed most efficiently. Sessions will be held online with up to four sessions per month being available to book via REACH Teach. Each session will have a maximum capacity of 15 delegates to ensure that tailored support can be provided.

Code: REA-1206 Incident Reporting Support Session - OPTION 3

Supporting Schools with the New Incident Forms in Parago

Following a continuing process of upgrade and development, some minor changes have been made to the Parago incident report forms. There are two new forms: a dedicated student report form and new staff incident report form. This split will help keep the information required for both groups specific and reduce down the completion time.  

We wil be holding optional support sessions on Zoom for anyone who would like further support with the completion of incident reporting or conducting reviews.

The third and final available date for the support session is 7th December from 10-11am. Please sign up to the session you wish to join.

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the education sector having to provide new ways for children to access their learning. It is now more important than ever for to teachers and leaders to unlock the power of technology.

To support schools with remote learning, we are offering all staff the opportunity to participate in Microsoft Teams Training with Phoenix Software Limited. A range of workshops are available and include Basic to Advanced Teams training. A full list training schedule has been attached to this event listing.

Please note that sessions are limited to a maximum of 20 people.Training will be repeated on a number of dates, please only book the session that you can attend and book early to secure your preferred date.

In this BASIC LEVEL TEAMS TRAINING a Phoenix specialist will guide you through the following:

  • An Introduction to Teams in Education
  • Scheduling a remote class
  • Virtual classroom etiquette
  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Creating a virtual class
  • Integrating other applications in teams

You must have access to Teams to participate in this training. A Teams meeting link to join the training will be emailed to all participants 2 days before the event.

This training is particularly recommended for school leaders, including Remote Learning Leads and Computing Leads.

Code: REA-1192 GDPR and You - HR Webinar (OPTION 2)

HR will be running a set of webinars in the Leadership Series and Management Essentials.

The GDPR and You webinar will cover the following aspects of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR):

  • GDPR principles and compliance with the regulations
  • Privacy notices and processing personal data
  • Subject access requests (SAR) and timelines
  • Freedom of information (FOI) requests and Environmental Information Regulation (EIR) requests
  • Dealing with a data breach
  • Role of the Data Processing Officer (DPO)

This session is option two of four available dates and will be be repeated in February and May. Please only book onto one of the available dates. You will need to have access to zoom to join the webinar which will be delivered by Sue Northend and Peter Noskiw.
