Designed and facilitated by the Head of Finance, Business Partners and the wider Finance team, this series of training sessions equips new Heads with the knowledge, skills and understanding to run the school’s budget efficiently and with full confidence.

Session Eight: Budgeting 2 - The Process

Building on previous Session 3, where Heads understand the inherited school budget, Session 8 moves into setting the budget for the next five years and signposts considerations and key points for doing this effectively.

Target Audience: New Headteachers and those wishing to refresh their knowledge on the session content.

Code: REA-1601 Safeguarding Support Session: Managing Contractors, Agency, Supply & 3rd Party Workers

Management of contractors and other visiting staff prompted a lot of queries and questions during the SCR audits
over the summer and autumn terms.

To support with this, the safeguarding team are holding a series of drop in sessions to support SBMs with management of contractors, agency/supply staff and 3rd party workers on school site.

This will include best practice advice relating to the statutory requirements for safer recruitment checks,
supervision, and risk assessment, which are key areas of safeguarding compliance.

Target Audience: All SBMs are warmly encouraged to attend one of the available drop in sessions and should book thei place on reach teach so we can monitor the amount of people wishing to attend

Session Dates: Monday 17th January, Friday 21st January, Monday 24th January, Wednesday 2nd February 2022.

Code: REA-1588 Safer Recruitment Training (Full Day)

REAch2 are pleased to continue to offer our own Safer Recruitment Training again this year. Three dates are available from January - March 2022.

This one-day course, delivered by the Safeguarding and HR teams, covers all aspects of safer recruitment, providing practical opportunities to consider how the principles of safer recruitment can be put into practice in the school setting.

Target Audience: This training is mandatory for all staff members who will be part of the recruitment process who have not yet completed safer recruitment training with REAch2.

For those who have completed our safer recruitment training in the last 3 years, we ask that you book the alternative half day refresher training which are listed on Reach Teach.

If you don’t have anything specific to ask but want to know more about the parts of CPOMS that you don’t currently use, come along and learn more!
