Code: REA-1465 Success in Year 6

Designed and led by ASLs Martin Henson and Ben Piperno, this revised programme aims to support Year 6 teachers in delivering the best outcomes for their pupils. It does this by taking them through a structured series of sessions designed to cover core aspects relevant to the year group.

Target Audience All Year 6 teachers are welcome, particularly if they are new or returning to teaching this year group or want to improve on outcomes from previous years. Please note Session A is particularly important for new teachers or teachers new to the year group.

All sessions are via Zoom and are open to anyone, experienced Year 6 practitioners may wish to attend single sessions where the content is especially relevant or needs revision in school

The Early Years moderation session is for Early Years group teachers to attend and receive key updates and best practice guidance from REAch2 ASLs.

This will be a full day event running from 9.30am to 3pm.

Code: REA-1632 Managing the Administration of Medicines In School (OPTION 1)

The safeguarding team will be holding workshops on Zoom to share best practice for the management of medications in school. The managing medications workshop will highlight effective systems and practices for managing short and long term medications in school sharing areas of best practice and lessons learnt from pupil safety audits.

There will be three dates over the summer term for these workshops, delegates only need to attend one of these and should book their preferred date at soon as possible on reach teach:

23 May from 10-11.30am  - option 1
26 May from 10-11.30am - option 2
24 May from 2-3.30pm - option 3

Target Audience: We would encourage a representative to attend from each academy who has a lead responsibility for managing / monitoring medical needs.

The pensions end of year certificate training session is ideal for School Business Managers and those responsible for ensuring that the end of year certificate is processed smoothly. 

In this 1 hour zoom, our Pensions Manager, Mala Visram will guide you through the process and how to maintain compliance. 

The session will be from 2.00pm to 3.00pm and is also available to book for the morning of 18 May. Please only book the session you wish to attend

Code: REA-1628 Safer Recruitment Training (Full Day - May Session)

REAch2 are pleased to continue to offer our own Safer Recruitment Training again this year.

Two extra dates have been added for the Summer term and will have a maximum capacity of 20 places each. Please book your preferred date only and as soon as possible to secure your place.

This one-day course, delivered by the Safeguarding and HR teams, covers all aspects of safer recruitment, providing practical opportunities to consider how the principles of safer recruitment can be put into practice in the school setting.

Target Audience: This training is mandatory for all staff members who will be part of the recruitment process who have not yet completed safer recruitment training with REAch2.

For those who have completed our safer recruitment training in the last 3 years, we ask that you book the alternative half day refresher training which are listed on Reach Teach.

Code: REA-1564 ECT Best Practice Visits - Cluster 7 (EAST LONDON)

The best practice visits for ECT's are for all early career teachers (ECTs) who begin Statutory Induction in September 2021. Teachers who were NQTs in the academic year 2020/21 are warmly invited to join the local face-to-face sessions of this programme within their cluster.

These visits are intended to augment the experience and learning of Early Career Teachers by providing opportunities to observe and analyse aspects of best practice. Sessions will be within clusters and will be linked to elements of the Early Careers Framework and showcase best practice in teaching and learning within REAch2 schools.

Due to the location of our cluster 7 schools, there are two available listings for best practice visits. This listing will have visits taking place in the East London area. ECTs in our West Sussex schools may wish to sign up to the West Sussex option for visits taking place in schools nearer to their location.

Target Audience: Early Career Teachers starting September 2021 and NQTs from last year are welcome to sign up to these sessions via Reach Teach.

Code: REA-1630 Safer Recruitment Refresher Training (Half Day - May Session)

REAch2 are pleased to continue to offer our own Safer Recruitment Training again this year. In addition to the full day training we are also offering two extra half-day refresher sessions in the summer term for those who have already completed this training with REAch2. 

This half-day course, delivered by the Safeguarding team, revisits and refreshes your knowledge on all aspects of safer recruitment, providing further practical opportunities to consider how the principles of safer recruitment can be put into practice in the school setting. 

Target Audience: This training is for those who have already completed our safer recruitment training within the last 3 years.

If you have not already attended this training we ask that you book onto one of the Full Day training dates which are listed on Reach Teach.

Each session will be available for upto 20 delegates so we advise you to book your preferred date as soon as possible to secure your place.
